Appearances can be deceptive – the Travel EXC is no ordinary sports tourer. A light, versatile machine built around 700c wheels, Shimano's rugged 8-speed Alfine hub and Gates' ultra-durable CDX belt, it consigns rattling gears and oily chains to the past. There's clearance for tough, comfortable tyres up to 42mm – with full-length mudguards included. Powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes keep you in full control and the full complement of touring accessories – including lighting set, kickstand and luggage rack – means you're all set to go.

We sweat the details, so you can just enjoy the ride. The Travel frame's double-butted aluminium tubes save weight without sacrificing strength, for a livelier and more comfortable ride. We made sure there's enough clearance to run tough, comfortable 29er tyres up to 42mm wide – perfect for exploring on road or even off. And we added a neat semi-integrated luggage carrier for carrying your essentials – plus lowrider rack compatibility on the light aluminium fork, just in case you need to take a little more with you.
