GEOMETRY
Frame: The Travel EXC deserves the best: a lightweight, efficient, comfortable and sturdy aluminium frame. It's a 29er-inspired design featuring clearance for tyres up to 2.25in, which translates into superb comfort and puncture resistance. The tapered head tube and accurate rigid aluminium fork provide precise handling at high speed, even when fully laden. The double butted tubeset was welded with our proprietary Smooth Welding technique and head and seat tube junctions. The 3D forged dropout includes the disc brake mount and allows the CUBE kickstand to be fitted, while our Frame Safe System derailluer hanger is replaceable in case of accidental damage - which means the frame won't be a write-off if the worst happens. And, of course, the frame passed the stringent standards set by our own CUBE test collective.
