STEREO 170
RACE 29
Those people who tell you that you can't have it all? They're wrong. And they definitely haven't seen the brand-new Stereo 170 Race 29, which distils all our engineering team's full-suspension expertise into a go-anywhere, ride-anything, gravity-surfing fun machine. Think fast-rolling 29er wheels won't work with big travel? Think again. Clever design and years of suspension kinematics experience have gone into this bike's 170mm travel frame - you'll be thankful of those big-diameter, grippy Maxxis EXO+ sneakers when you're nudging the limits of Alpine trail riding. Covered pivots, short linkage and elegant design with the emphasis on accurate tracking and steering - all the Stereo family's hallmarks are present and correct. And, because you'll be riding at speeds you didn't think possible, we've equipped the Stereo 170 Race 29 with the kit you'll need to keep the rubber side down and rolling. So there's a Fox 36 Float fork up front and matching Float DPX2 shock at the rear taking care of rock-swallowing duties. A RaceFace cockpit, 150mm dropper post and powerful Sram Code R hydraulic disc brakes with a big 200mm front rotor ensure you're always in full control. And Sram's legendary 1x12 Eagle transmission gives you the gear range you need to ride back up the mountain, once you've finished riding down it. It's so much fun, there ought to be a law against it...

GEOMETRY
There's nothing our engineering team like more than a challenge. So when we asked them to create a genuine big hit-capable full-suspension frame with clearance for wide 29er tyres, they didn't look at us as though we were mad. They just got down to work. Using all the experience they've gained from years of refining our four-bar suspension design, they tweaked the position of every linkage and frame joint until they were happy with the result, then refined every tube profile for the optimum blend of weight, strength and efficiency. With a short linkage, shock mount and covered bearings, it's clearly part of the CUBE full suspension family. Agile Trail Geometry and advanced suspension kinematics result in an exceptionally adept mountain tamer, with progressive suspension and a confidence-inspiring feeling on the trail. Hydroformed tubes, internally routed cables and our design team's usual fastidious attention to detail mean that it looks as good as it rides. So the only remaining question is, will you accept the challenge and push your boundaries? Because this is a frame that proves it can be done.
